First Words Initiative is an 8-week comprehensive speech and language development program tailored for children aged 18 months to 2 years. This unique opportunity is a collaboration between Laughing Monitos and the NCCU Speech and Language Department, providing hands-on interventions to enhance your child's communication skills.

Language Growth
Program

We are excited to introduce our 8-week Language Growth Program for children ages 2-3 years, designed to enhance communication skills through fun, play-based activities. Led by experienced professionals and supported by students from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), this program focuses on fostering vocabulary expansion, sentence formation, and social communication skills in a warm and engaging environment.

2025 Sessions:

Dates: Mondays, January 27th - March 17th
Time: 2:30 - 3:30 PM
Price: $47 per session

Through interactive play, children will be encouraged to practice their language skills while developing confidence in their ability to communicate. This program is perfect for parents looking to support their child’s growing language abilities and foster positive communication habits.
